AutoCamp Asheville opens on May 15, 2024 – just a few months away – and AutoCamp put together a video list of AutoCamp Asheville Questions and Answers. Let’s see what we found out!
AutoCamp Asheville: 14 Questions and Answers
AutoCamp posted a story on Instagram soliciting questions regarding the new Autocamp Asheville location opening in May 15.
- As is always the case, AutoCamp Asheville will have their custom Airstreams found in all their locations, cabins, which are also available at AutoCamp Catskills, Accessible X Suites (we love them!), and the Airstream BAMBI.
2. As we’ve covered, the Bambi is commercial production model from Airstream. We don’t yet know if they’ve customized it, what the floorplan or length are.
3. We covered the news on AutoCamp Asheville when it was in development. It used to be a former campground, and yes, it is on the French Broad River. So far, our favorite AutoCamp locations are ones that are built on former campgrounds (Cape Cod, Catskills, and Russian River). Joshua Tree and Zion are not, and therefore, they have minimal vegetation and privacy.
4. This is a fantastic location for AutoCamp Asheville. You will most definitely need to rent a car if you’re flying in.
5. Downtown Asheville is a vibrant, fun location! There was no question for this, but we can tell you that AutoCamp Asheville is only 20 minutes from the must-visit Biltmore Estate.
6. Not all AutoCamp locations have pools. Given that it gets very hot in the Asheville area in teh summer months, in spite of being in the mountains, we’re glad to hear there will be a pool!
The kitchen, general store, and host-led experiences are typical of all other locations.
7. Truly, there is soooo much to do in the Asheville area. It really is a wonderful location for all outdoor activities.
8. Smart! They addressed those who are NOT “outdoorsy”. In addition, I’d again add visiting not only the Biltmore Estate but also the Grove Park Inn for history and culture and amazing architecture.
9. Of course AutoCamp Asheville will be dog friendly, as are ALL the other AutoCamp locations! This was one of the reasons we found – and became fans of – AutoCamp. They do charge $75 for your stay, but they provide you some great dog-friendly treats and more to give your pup a great visit with you.
Remember – you can NOT leave your dogs (or kids) in the Airstreams unaccompanied. It’s too risky if the heat or a/c should kick off. So, plan your touring around having your pup with you!
10. Again, Asheville is well located to many sites and things to do. We’re very pleased that AutoCamp selected Asheville as one of their locations.
11. Want to have an event or party at AutoCamp Asheville? Corporate Events have become a “bread and butter” of AutoCamp along with weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, engagement parties, birthday parties and more. Contact them directly with your inquiry.
12. Speaking of events, AutoCamp will have some beautiful outdoor space in Asheville. Most of the other locations have limited dedicated outdoor space for events. No surprise they added this since they are really counting on events and parties to fill their Airstreams.
13. This will be interesting! Most of the other locations are perfectly flat or barely have hills. I can see that the campsite review is going to be addressing the hilliness of each location and distance from the clubhouse!
14. OUR question never was answered (and yes, we did hit send!). Can we see a floor plan for the Bambi?
We are super curious given that Bambis range from a tiny 16 feet to a small 22 feet. Remember, the AutoCamp Custom Airtreams are 31 feet! This is going to be a very big difference, and we cannot wait to learn more.
Conclusion: AutoCamp Asheville Questions and Answers
We think AutoCamp did a fairly good job answering questions. We wish they would have answered ours.
We’re just four months away from AutoCamp Asheville opening up. We might not get there right away, as we hoped. Had it been April, we would have made it. But we will get there to do our big reviews.
In the meantime, share your reviews with us on Instagram or Facebook!
