AutoCamp Fall Promo Get Your 3rd Night Free
AutoCamp has come out with their promo for fall. On the surface, it’s enticing: Book 2 nights, get your 3rd night free. However, as it turns out, we had already booked through Hilton Honors, and when we looked to see about re-booking, this deal wasn’t all that great. Follow along…
AutoCamp Sequoia and AUtoCamp Yosemite Trip
As we wrote recently, we’re planning a pretty awesome trip to both AutoCamp Sequoia and AutoCamp Yosemite.
Have a look at our bookings, which were made August 16 – about 3 weeks prior to the September 11 email announcing the 3rd free night promo.
First: Our AutoCamp Sequoia Booking
Notice:
- Explorer Suite (former X Suite)
- Total fees
- Total Taxes
- Total for stay
- Cancelation policy up to 7 days prior WITHOUT PRE-PAYING the entire stay.
Now, I’m going to put in my same dates (which I’m not revealing for privacy reasons). What do we find? FIRST, I’ll do it on Hilton since that will be an apples-to-apples comparison.
They blew up the prices so that it is now MORE EXPENSIVE to stay with this promo.
Insult to injury: it’s now a 14 day cancelation rate!
For kicks, I checked it out directly on the AutoCamp site. It was identical to the Hilton Honors site.
Second: Our AutoCamp Yosemite Booking
We can’t image it would be much different, but let’s have a look at the Yosemite booking.

We went to the Hilton site and found this … if it’s “music to the ears,” is it “art to the eyes”?!
We did go from a 7 day cancelation to a 14 day cancelation, but we put it on our new American Express Platinum card because of the AMAZING benefits, which include trip insurance and also immediate Gold Status with Hilton. Please note, this is an affiliate link. Trust me – you’ll thank you.

So, in the end, AutoCamp Fall Promo Get Your 3rd Night Free ROCKS. I will continue to keep an eye on the price on Sequoia. That $508 for night one for their lowest level Airstream is pretty ridiculous. Hopefully that will come down, and I’ll get that lower, too.
