AutoCamp Hilton Partnership
Huge news in the AutoCamp world! An AutoCamp Hilton partnership! What does this mean? Awesome exposure for AutoCamp and POINTS for those of us who are into the points game and earning free nights and status with Hilton. How about AutoCamp free nights?!
Hilton and AutoCamp announced a groundbreaking partnership this week. The partnership will mean travelers can book AutoCamp stays directly on Hilton’s website or mobile app “in coming months” and earn Hilton Honors points if they are a member of the loyalty program. Those points will get you FREE NIGHTS at Hilton – and AutoCamp!
Last spring, on our cross country road trip, we stayed only at Hilton properties, particularly Hampton Inn and Tru by Hilton. We started out with points and earned enough along the way that by the time our trip was over, we had 4 free nights out of our 35 night on the road! Both of those properties are quite easily found while traveling – and every one we found was dog friendly – just like AutoCamp.
Details from Hilton
According to the Hilton press release, AutoCamp stays will be bookable on Hilton’s direct channels in the coming months, giving Hilton guests direct access to outdoor hospitality that goes beyond “glamping.” Hilton Honors members will be able to earn and redeem Points and enjoy exclusive member benefits while experiencing the currently open AutoCamp locations of Yosemite, Joshua Tree and Russian River in California; Zion, Utah; Cape Cod, Mass.; and Catskills, N.Y.. And the coming soon properties – Asheville, N.C. and Sequoia, Calif., opening this summer and Hill Country, Texas, in 2025.
“We know today’s travelers are craving adventures when planning their next trip, and that’s why we look for innovative and like-minded partners like AutoCamp. This is the first time a major hospitality brand and outdoor lodging company have come together in this way to create even more choices for travelers while redefining the outdoor hospitality experience.”
Chris Silcock, president, Global Brands and Commercial Services, Hilton
According to the Hilton Trends Report, in 2024, nearly half of travelers will prioritize exploration and adventure, with more than half of Gen Z and Millennials carving out more budget for these types of experiences, exceeding other generations.
From personal observation, we have been to 5 of the 6 open AutoCamp locations. The AutoCamp visitors are very much on the young side, many with young families and/or dogs. Also check the #autocamp hashtag on Instagram to see who is posting from AutoCamp. This appeal to Gen Z and Millenials is a smart move for Hilton.
AutoCamp Hilton Partnership – Can we Use our Hilton Honor Points at Autocamp?
That’s the big question! I love to earn points – especially to USE my points. Fingers crossed that we will not only earn but be able to use those points at all AutoCamp locations. I’ll post an update when I have one.
