AutoCamp Joshua Tree Review of Camp Site Locations

AutoCamp Joshua Tree Review of Camp Site Locations

Published on May 23, 2023

We recently had the pleasure of visiting and reviewing AutoCamp Joshua Tree. Joshua Tree is the most “different” from the 4 locations we have visited so far – Cape Cod, Catskills, Joshua Tree, and Russian River. Why? It’s in the desert! Sure, I knew this. Heck, I had visited Joshua Tree National Park twice in the past. Still, I found AutoCamp Joshua Tree to be quite different than the other AutoCamp locations.

Below, we’re going to tour EVERY campsite location and review them, including a video tour of the entire AutoCamp Joshua Tree campground.

First, let’s have a look at the big picture:

As you can see, the Joshua Tree Campground is pretty much a horseshoe shape. Because it’s the desert, it’s a very large open field. Here is what it looked like before AutoCamp turned it into a campground:

AutoCamp Joshua Tree Desert Setting

As you can see, it’s wiiiiiiide open. Here are a few images of the property as AutoCamp:

If it seems super wide open – with an old western movie feel – then you got the vibe! The campground is super wide open with minimal vegetation. It’s the desert! So, the difference between Classic vs Premium vs Vista is very, very minimized at this property, so we focus on that as we review every campsite.

Keep in mind, Joshua Tree is one of the most photographed of the AutoCamp properties. It’s very Instagram-able, if you know what I mean.

The Joshua Tree Review of Camp Site Locations in the video, below, clearly comes to the conclusion that you should not pay for Premium or Vista level campsites (this article refers to the Cape Cod property, but all AutoCamp properties us the Classic, Premium, Vista levels of suites and pricing).

Our AutoCamp Joshua Tree Review of Camp Site Locations does not need to have the map divided up into sections, as we did with Cape Cod or Catskills since it is simply a horseshoe layout in an open field. Instead, we have reviewed the campground in video:

AutoCamp Joshua Tree Review of Camp Site Locations – Conclusion

Do not, do not, do not pay for Premium or Vista level campers or suites. Joshua Tree is the desert. It’s a small campground. No matter where you are, it’s pretty much all the same with one exception: 101 – 109. Those bedrooms have NO privacy. See the video for the explanation.

Again be sure to see our AutoCamp Joshua Tree Review – it reviews the entire experience at Joshua Tree.
