AutoCamp Promotion Problem
AutoCamp offered a promotion in April 2023 but later on added additional conditions that were not part of the original promotion. This is unfair and must be corrected by AutoCamp.
AutoCamp “See More, Spend Less” Promotion
On Apr 27, 2023, AutoCamp sent out an email with a very intriguing promotion called, “See More, Spend Less”.
The Terms and Conditions of this deal are published on their website:
Here it is in the text version. I’ll bring it into parts to make it more readable:
*Terms and Conditions:

- You must book your first stay using the code to qualify for the rest of the promotions in this offer.
- Look out for the link to book your next stay in your confirmation emails.

AutoCamp Promotion Problem – Changing the Promotion
I booked my AutoCamp Zion stay on May 23, 2023 for September 2023. I met those date requirements for the first stay.
I did receive a code in email for my next stay, just as the Terms and Conditions explained. As the Terms and Conditions stated: “The rest of your national park trips may be booked for stay dates in 2024.”
What came in the email, however, was another detail:
I have to book my 2024 trips by December 31, 2023???
This is a BIG, SERIOUS PROBLEM.
Here’s why…
AutoCamp keeps changing the dates of the new camp locations that were supposed to open in 2023. My plan was to visit AutoCamp Yosemite once AutoCamp Sequoia opened up. However, the dates for Sequoia have gone from “late 2023” to “Winter 2023/2024” to now “Mid 2024”. How can I even book Yosemite if they keep moving the date for Sequoia?
First, I won’t know what dates to select. Second, they won’t open bookings for Sequoia until well into 2024.
Do the Right Thing, AutoCamp
AutoCamp needs to honor the bookings throughout 2024 and not restrict those of us who booked their first stay by May 31 in anticipation of being able to use this deal throughout 2024 and not limiting us to bookings made by December 31, 2023.
If anyone else is impacted by this, I’d like to hear about. I suspect the promotion may not have been too popular, but I’m eager to hear about it.
I am up front: I am a big fan of AutoCamp, but I will call them out when there are problems, and this is a big one. I hope I’m updating this article very soon with news from them.
