AutoCamp Reviews #KnowBeforeYouGo
We wanted to introduce a new concept we at AutoCampReviews are going to be referring to frequently: AutoCamp Reviews #KnowBeforeYouGo.
We just got back from AutoCamp Asheville, and we’re getting ready to post our reviews, videos, and photos. In no way is our #KnowBeforeYouGo hashtag and concept intended to be about Asheville, specifically. It’s about AutoCamp generally. You’ll soon see we had a wonderful visit in Asheville.
So then, what is #KnowBeforeYouGo about?
AutoCamp Reviews #KnowBeforeYouGo – What it is
#KnowBeforeYouGo is about expectations and setting expectations before you arrive at any AutoCamp location.
When we visited our very first AutoCamp – AutoCamp Cape Cod – we were WILDLY excited about renting an Airstream – and it was dog friendly! I remember vividly approaching the beautiful Cape Cod property being soooo very excited about our visit. I saw images like this

and this

and I was expecting a beautiful Airstream like the the ones I see at Airstream dealers like Flying Cloud.
Instead, I found the 31′ custom Airstream, and I was disappointed. Badly. It didn’t help that much of the campground looks like this:

#KnowBeforeYouGo was born of these emotions. Within a day, I realized it was my expectations that led to my disappointment – not the actual experience.
We understand why AutoCamp wants to share beautiful pictures of families having fun in what look like solitary locations. However, there is a downside that we experienced – having the wrong expectations.
Once we got past the disappointment, we realized what an awesome concept both the custom Airstreams and the campground were. Not only did we enjoy it, we started AutoCamp reviews and have since visited all 8 open locations.
In doing our reviews we want you to #KnowBeforeYouGo so that you, too, can thoroughly enjoy your AutoCamp visit. Really – who wants to be let down? Disappointed? Save yourself some time. Check out our videos and articles, and we feel #KnowBeforeYouGo will help you set your expectations so you can fully enjoy the experience.
AutoCamp Reviews #KnowBeforeYouGo – What it is NOT
#KnowBeforeYouGo is not, not, not a “gotcha” concept. There is no intent to make this about identifying problems or mistakes.
In our videos, as you see in our articles, we review every campsite location. We do this so you can see reality rather than just pretty pictures on social media and the website. In these reviews, we give our opinion of those locations. Again, this isn’t “gotcha” – it’s our evaluation of the location and whether or not some of the locations are worth paying a higher price for.
AutoCamp Reviews #KnowBeforeYouGo – Conclusion
Hopefully, we’ve made it clear that #KnowBeforeYouGo is well intended and not meant to be a burn/diss/gotcha in any way.
We love answering questions. Reach out to us on Facebook or Instagram – we see those faster than we see YouTube and TikTok and Reddit. We’re happy to advise, help with trip planning, make suggestions. We want you to be a fan of AutoCamp, too, and to make sure your expectations are aligned with reality.
In the end, we are fans of AutoCamp, but we’re also independent and unbiased. We’ll call out when we think one campsite isn’t worth the up-charge versus the one next door that is less money. We also cover tips to save you money, work, or aggravation (bring a windproof lighter for the firepit). That’s fair, and we’re fair – and we look forward to continuing to offer our unbiased #KnowBeforeYouGo reviews, articles, and videos.
