Parks Project Partners with AutoCamp

Parks Project partners with AutoCamp for two trips this year – to Sequoia and Joshua Tree. The trips are interesting, benefit a great cause – and are super expensive. We’ll break it down for you.

Parks Project Partners with AutoCamp – Who is Parks Project

We weren’t familiar with Parks Project, so it seemed really odd that a “Retail Apparel and Fashion” brand would have anything to do with “protect and preserve parklands for generations to come.”

This is how it works:

Parks Project creates “Goods Inspired By Parks” – clothing, hats and beanies, socks, drinkware, candles, and more. All are related to the national parks. Have a look at their products. The profit from their retail sales has helped them donate over $2,800,000 to our National Parks and organizations who support our parks. Additionally, they have donated over 5,500 volunteer hours in the parks.

Parks Project Partners with AutoCamp – 2 Trips in 2026

Parks Project partners with AutoCamp for two trips in 2026 – the first is AutoCamp Sequoia and then, later in the year, AutoCamp Joshua Tree.

We’ve visited both AutoCamp Joshua Tree and AutoCamp Sequoia. We’ve provided extensive reviews of both Joshua Tree and Sequoia. We’ve also share detailed videos of every campsite location in both Joshua Tree and Sequoia. Have a look so you can #knowbeforeyougo.

Parks Project Partners with AutoCamp – AutoCamp Sequoia Trip

Here is the big picture of the Parks Project Trip to AutoCamp Sequoia:

  • All in-trip transportation handled with private vans from the moment you arrive at AutoCamp
  • 3 night stay at AutoCamp’s Sequoia location in a premium Airstream suite
    Meals & Drinks
  • 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 3 dinners + 3 happy hours
  • Daily Rhythm
    • Optional morning meditation & yoga (all levels)
    • Pool time and free time built into every afternoon
    • Evening campfires every night with community connection, meaningful conversations with guests, exploring the history of the land and sharing unique stories.
  • In The Park (Choose Your Own Adventure)
    • Guided Hikes — Strenuous or mellow – you choose. Led by people who know this landscape intimately.
    • Fly fishing — A peaceful escape to a secluded, off-the-beaten-path location
    • Visits from Locals — Stories, Q&A, and behind-the-scenes insights from someone who lives and breathes in the region.
    • History of the Land — A deeper understanding of the history and people who shaped these places.
    • Forest bathing meditation in the ancient groves — A slow, restorative immersion into the ancient groves – designed to calm the nervous system and sharpen the senses.
    • Nature journaling in Crescent Meadow — Guided prompts to capture thoughts, observations, and the feeling of this place on the page.
    • Cave exploration — A guided journey into a stunning Cave, where marble passages, formations, and hidden chambers reveal a completely different side of Sequoia’s geology and wonder.
  • The Parks Project Touch — Parks Project welcome bag waiting at check-in. Breakfast with those doing boots-on-the-ground conservation work on your final morning – learn what’s happening in the park and how to stay involved long after you leave.

Points to consider regarding this itinerary:

  • You will still need to get yourself both to/from Sequoia. This is not insignificant. The ride is about 90 minutes, so most will need to rent a car, as opposed to taking a ride-share.
  • Only 2 lunches? Yes, because this is really only a 2 full day trip. You arrive late afternoon the first day and leave after breakfast on day 4.
  • Daily rhythm – all these activities are available to all AutoCamp campers, though the conversation will be with others on the same Parks Project trip as opposed to general other campers.
  • There are no “mellow” activities on the detailed itinerary – just strenuous and moderate.

Parks Project Partners with AutoCamp – AutoCamp Sequoia Trip Cost

Hold on to your hats…

Trip Price: 1 Ticket for $2,995 or 2 Tickets for $4,995

OUCH. Really…oooouuuuucccchhhhh. This is a three-night trip.

We looked at what the cost would be to stay at AutoCamp Sequoia those exact dates, September 30 – October 3, 2026:

Note: this is a Vista level accommodation, which is actually more valuable than the Premium level, which wasn’t available on the website. We assume they are being held back for the Parks Project group which will include 40 guests plus their staff.

$5,000 per couple for THREE NIGHTS, not including airfare and transportation to/from Fresno Airport.

Is there really $3,600 worth of “value” over 3 days for this trip? This clearly is an individual decision. To us, it would be very difficult to answer “yes”. We could easily do this trip for far less and then make a donation on our own to a national park.

Parks Project Partners with AutoCamp – Joshua Tree

SO… the Parks Project Trip to Joshua Tree is SOLD OUT! The price and itinerary are essentially the same as AutoCamp Sequoia.

Parks Project Partners with AutoCamp – Conclusion

This will top $6,000 or $2,000 per night for a couple when you add airfare and transportation to/from Fresno Airport. That’s a hell of a lot of money for a 3 night (2 full day) trip.

Parks Project is a reputable organization doing good work. It seems, given that Joshua Tree is sold out, others aren’t as skeptical as we are. It’ll be interesting to see if Sequoia sells out, too.

We wish them all well. May they keep donating to our parks!
